emirates7 - The Sharjah Executive Council convened its regular meeting on Tuesday, led by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, who also serves as Chairman of the Council.
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Council, was also in attendance. The meeting was held at the Ruler’s Office.
During the session, the Council addressed various issues concerning the regulation and oversight of government departments and agencies within Sharjah, alongside legal and legislative matters. It also emphasized key development plans aimed at enhancing the quality of services offered throughout the emirate.
In efforts to bolster the human resources legislative framework, the Council approved a draft decree-law pertaining to human resources in Sharjah and instructed that the legislative process be finalized.
Additionally, the Council reviewed the 2024 report from the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, which highlighted the Authority’s accomplishments and strategic collaborations. The report covered tourism sector performance metrics, promotional activities both locally and internationally, as well as initiatives related to training, tourism standards, and events—all of which contribute to the local economy, sustainable tourism, and environmental conservation.
