emirates7 - The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three entities operating under Dubai Chambers, announced that Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries remained the top destination for its members' exports and re-exports in the first quarter of 2025.
GCC markets accounted for 47.2% of the total export value, amounting to AED 40.5 billion—highlighting their continued significance to member trade operations.
The second-largest share went to Middle Eastern countries outside the GCC, with exports and re-exports totaling AED 25 billion, or 29.1% of the total. African markets followed in third place, contributing AED 9.1 billion, which represented 10.6% of the total trade value.
The Asia-Pacific region ranked fourth with AED 8 billion in exports and re-exports, making up 9.4% of the total, while European markets were fifth, accounting for AED 2.4 billion or 2.8%.
North American markets placed sixth, receiving around AED 460 million, or 0.5% of the total. Latin America came in seventh, with AED 315 million worth of exports and re-exports, representing 0.4%.
Overall, the total value of member exports and re-exports reached AED 85.9 billion during Q1 2025, reflecting a 16.8% year-on-year increase.
