Rise in temperatures across UAE

emirates7 - Residents in several areas of Abu Dhabi and the Al Dhafra region woke up to thick fog this morning, prompting the UAE’s National Center of Meteorology (NCM) to issue red and yellow alerts. These warnings indicate the potential for dangerously low visibility in some locations, which may worsen at times and persist until 9 AM on Tuesday, June 17.

The fog advisory specifically targets parts of the Al Dhafra region—such as Al Ruwais, Ghayathi Road, Bu Hamrah, Owtaid, Bu Hasa, and Hamim—as well as areas within Abu Dhabi, including Al Wathba, the Al Ain – Abu Dhabi Road, Al Ajban, Al Khatim, and Al Faya. Drivers in these zones are advised to proceed with caution, slow down, and remain alert due to hazardous driving conditions.

Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi Police issued a notice on X (formerly Twitter), urging motorists to drive carefully amid reduced visibility. They also reminded drivers to adhere to the variable speed limits shown on electronic road signs to ensure safety.
