Fog alert issued in Abu Dhabi, rough seas NCM warns

emirates7 - Motorists travelling on Abu Dhabi roads are urged to exercise extra caution today, as dense fog is expected in some areas until 8 a.m., according to the Met Office.

Early this morning, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported foggy conditions in Arjan, Zayed City, and Hamim in the Al Dhafra region. Due to significantly reduced visibility, drivers are advised to slow down and drive carefully.

The NCM also forecasted generally sunny weather throughout the day, with skies becoming partly cloudy in some areas by evening and night. Temperatures are expected to rise, and humidity will increase overnight and into Tuesday morning, with the possibility of fog or mist developing over some coastal and inland regions.

Temperatures in the country’s interior will range between 42°C and 46°C, while coastal areas and islands will see highs between 38°C and 41°C. Mountainous areas can expect temperatures between 29°C and 36°C.

Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally becoming fresh, blowing at speeds between 10 and 25 km/h, reaching up to 40 km/h at times.

Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf will be moderate to rough occasionally, while the Oman Sea will remain slight.
