emirates7 - The Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (DoE) has announced its role as a major supporter of the World Utilities Congress 2025, set to take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from 27 to 29 May 2025. The event is organised by the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company “TAQA”.
Held under the theme “Innovating for a New Age of Utilities,” this year’s congress serves as a premier global forum for top-level policymakers, industry specialists, and innovation pioneers in the energy and water sectors. It aims to explore emerging trends and highlight the latest technologies and solutions that strengthen the reliability and sustainability of energy and water systems.
The Department of Energy will participate with a dedicated pavilion showcasing its theme “Energise, Grow, Sustain.” Through this platform, the DoE will present a range of forward-looking initiatives, strategies, and regulatory frameworks.
A central feature will be the Abu Dhabi Energy Sector Ambition 2050, alongside a focus on the Industrial Sector Energy Efficiency Accelerator — a programme aimed at promoting the adoption of energy-efficient practices across the industrial sector by evaluating and enhancing facility performance.
Another notable initiative is the Cooling-as-a-Service (CaaS) programme, a novel approach to building cooling that removes the need for ownership or maintenance of equipment. This initiative is expected to significantly reduce both energy use and carbon emissions.
