emirates7 - ADNOC has announced the signing of a strategic partnership with Tubacex, a global leader in advanced tubular solutions, to localize essential oilfield technology and strengthen the UAE’s industrial resilience. The announcement was made during the ‘Make it in the Emirates’ forum currently being held in Abu Dhabi.
As part of the agreement, ADNOC will receive perpetual and exclusive rights to use Tubacex’s Sentinel Prime premium tubular joint connection technology. This cutting-edge solution plays a crucial role in the completion of oil and gas wells, helping to lower costs and ensure supply chain robustness.
To further support this initiative, Tubacex will set up a dedicated research and development (R&D) centre in Abu Dhabi. The facility will serve as a hub for advanced engineering activities and training programs, fostering local expertise and contributing to the development of the UAE’s technical workforce.

Tubulars—also known as Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG)—are high-grade steel pipes used in oil and gas drilling and well completion. These components must meet strict standards to withstand the extreme pressure and temperature conditions encountered deep underground.
