President Tokayev welcomed Sheikh Khaled and the accompanying UAE delegation, emphasizing the robust ties between Kazakhstan and the UAE and reaffirming Kazakhstan’s dedication to deepening cooperation across various key sectors for the mutual benefit of both nations.
Sheikh Khaled conveyed greetings and well wishes from UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressing hope for Kazakhstan’s continued development and prosperity. He also thanked the Kazakh leadership for their warm hospitality.
In response, President Tokayev extended his regards to the UAE President and offered best wishes for the country’s ongoing growth and success.
During their meeting, both leaders reviewed the strong UAE-Kazakhstan relationship and explored opportunities to enhance collaboration, particularly in strategic sectors such as investment, energy, infrastructure, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and advanced technologies. Transport & Infrastructure: An MoU between the UAE Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure and Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport to promote collaboration on transport and infrastructure development.
Legal Affairs: An MoU between the UAE and Kazakhstan Ministries of Justice to enhance legal cooperation, including joint events and information sharing.
Healthcare: An MoU between the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and the Turkestan Region Administration to finance the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Maternity Hospital.
Renewable Energy: Masdar and Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy signed an agreement to develop a 1GW wind farm in the Zhambyl region. Masdar and Samruk-Kazyna also agreed to collaborate on a 500MW energy project and a 2GW battery storage system.
Artificial Intelligence: AIQ and Samruk-Kazyna signed an agreement to boost Kazakhstan’s oil and gas sector using AI technologies. AIQ also partnered with QazaqGaz to apply AI in gas exploration and production.
