emirates7 - H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, honoured the recipients of the 30th edition of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence (SAEE) during a ceremony at University City Hall.
Organised by the Sharjah Private Education Authority, the event celebrated 51 winners out of 1,460 participants from across the UAE. Dr Muhadditha Al Hashemi, Chairperson of the Authority, extended appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his continued support of the award, which champions educational achievement and human capital development.
The ceremony featured a video presentation titled Tapestry of Excellence, which chronicled the award’s 30-year journey, highlighting key milestones and statistics. During the event, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed also inaugurated the "Pillar of Excellence," a symbolic tribute to exceptional accomplishments in education.
Among the individual honours, Chitra Raghafan received first place in the Educational Leader category, while Saria Abdulrahman claimed the top spot in the Outstanding Teacher category, followed by Sherin Yahya Ramadan and Mohammed Ahmed Al Bustawi in second and third place respectively.
In other categories, Yasser Mohammed Laila was awarded first place for Outstanding Support Functions, and Sandeyah Mohammed Al Ziyoudi won in the Outstanding Parent category.
For the Outstanding Student category, covering grades 3 to 12, prominent winners included Ayush Krishnanifas, Hamad Saif Al Aryani, Sarah Javed Khan, and Shamsa Ali Al Naqbi, with Mayed Aref Al Zaabi being recognised in the Special Needs category.
Institutional awards went to Al Nuhayneyah School as Outstanding School and Suhailah Nursery as Outstanding Nursery.
The SAEE continues to foster a culture of excellence, creativity, and innovation in education, motivating both individuals and institutions to strive for the highest standards in teaching and learning.
