Singaporean delegation commends UAE Floating Hospital in Al-Arish

emirates7 - A delegation from Singapore recently visited the UAE Floating Hospital in Al-Arish, where they toured the facility and received an overview of the medical and humanitarian services being provided to patients from the Gaza Strip.

During their visit, the delegation met several Palestinian patients undergoing treatment and listened to their stories about the quality of care and support offered by the Emirati medical teams.

Justin Lee, who led the delegation, commended the hospital's management and praised the professionalism and efficiency of its staff, highlighting the high standards of healthcare being delivered.

The visit reflects ongoing international collaboration in addressing humanitarian health crises and recognizes the UAE’s pivotal role in delivering medical and relief assistance.

Part of the UAE’s Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the floating hospital was launched on February 23, 2024, with a mission to provide comprehensive care to those injured in Gaza.

The hospital is equipped with 100 patient beds and 100 companion beds, in addition to state-of-the-art operating theatres, intensive care units, radiology facilities, and laboratories. It has provided medical treatment to over 10,000 Palestinian patients so far.

This initiative illustrates the UAE’s strong humanitarian commitment and its efforts to foster global partnerships in delivering urgent medical and relief support during times of crisis.
