Germany, Italy showcase largest-ever national participation at Airport Show 2025 in Dubai

emirates7 - Germany and Italy have emerged as key players at the Airport Show 2025, with a total of 47 companies showcasing a wide variety of airport and aviation technologies. The event, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre, emphasizes the growing global cooperation in creating smart and sustainable aviation infrastructure.

The German Pavilion, coordinated by the German Airport Technology and Equipment association (GATE) and supported by the German government, features 22 leading companies. These include COBUS, Beumer, Colibri Energy, Ammeraal Beltech, Euroteam Bauchemie, and Forbo Siegling, presenting innovations such as advanced airfield lighting, perimeter security systems, smart surveillance, and automated airport operations solutions.

Kay Barenfanger, President of GATE, commented, “With the backing of the German government, the pavilion provides a crucial platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies, building international partnerships, and reinforcing Germany's role as a major force in the global aerospace industry.”

The Italian Pavilion, organized by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in the UAE and Air Tech Italy, features 25 companies such as Leonardo, Enav Group, Fibrefence, Datalogic, OCEM Airfield Technology, and EnterMed. These companies are presenting sustainable, innovative airport solutions, covering areas like ground systems, terminal architecture, smart lighting, and airside automation.

Italy’s participation underscores its growing influence in delivering integrated aviation solutions worldwide. The pavilion also showcases firms specializing in infrastructure design, ground support equipment, and digital platforms for airport operations and air traffic control.

Lorenzo Fanara, Ambassador of Italy to the UAE, remarked, “Italian companies are contributing to a forward-thinking vision that aligns with the UAE’s and the region’s goals for greener, smarter transportation ecosystems. The participation of 25 Italian companies at the Dubai Airport Show reflects Italy’s growing expertise in the sector and our continued investment in regional collaborations. Valerio Soldani, the Italian Trade Commissioner to the UAE and Director of ITA in the UAE, added, “This year’s larger and more strategic presence highlights the crucial role of aviation and mobility technologies in enhancing our economic ties with the UAE and the wider GCC region. From packaging machinery to infrastructure systems, Italian exports are increasingly finding success, with particular growth in aviation-related sectors.”
