UAE sets global benchmark in AI: Indian official

emirates7 - Kaustubh Dhavse, Joint Secretary and Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, has commended the UAE’s advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), describing it as a global benchmark for creating a cutting-edge digital ecosystem that draws talent and businesses from across the world.

Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during the Dubai AI Festival, Dhavse remarked that although foundational AI policies are largely consistent worldwide, the UAE distinguishes itself through the effective application of AI in crucial sectors like healthcare, agriculture, energy, and infrastructure.

“What the UAE has achieved is remarkable. It has built a dynamic legislative environment that actively fosters innovation,” he said.

He also highlighted that his visit to the UAE is focused on identifying opportunities for collaboration between the Maharashtra government and key participants at the festival. As one of India’s leading states in AI integration, Maharashtra is eager to adopt international best practices and forge strategic partnerships.

“We are in the process of exploring new collaborations, including government-to-government agreements and joint efforts in training and skill development,” Dhavse added, expressing confidence that the event could lead to the signing of new agreements or partnerships.
