emirates7 - The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) is actively participating in the 16th edition of the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival, hosted at Expo Centre Sharjah under the theme “Dive into Books” and organized by the Sharjah Book Authority.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and supported by his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, the festival stands as a key event in Sharjah’s cultural agenda.
Ali Al Hosani, SPEA Director, highlighted that the authority’s involvement reflects its commitment to nurturing a lifelong love of reading in children from an early age. He stressed the role of books in shaping young minds and enhancing their intellectual, linguistic, and personal development.
Under the theme “Let books flood your world,” the authority reinforces its dedication to promoting a reading culture, stimulating curiosity and critical thinking, and encouraging students to broaden their knowledge and creativity.
Throughout the event, SPEA is offering a rich program of literary, artistic, educational, and awareness-focused activities.
Highlights of the festival include storytelling sessions, creative art workshops, Quranic learning, Arabic language instruction, live stage shows, choir performances, science experiments, poetry readings, and interactive student debates and discussions.
SPEA’s engagement in the festival underscores its mission to empower students to express themselves through art, literature, and dialogue. It aligns with Sharjah’s broader educational vision of fostering a generation that is culturally aware, critically engaged, and creatively driven.
