emirates7 - Actress Priyanka Chopra is set to team up once again with her Baywatch co-star Zac Efron in an upcoming untitled comedy film directed by Nicholas Stoller, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Joining them in leading roles is actor Michael Peña, known for Cesar Chavez, with the film being produced under the banner of Amazon MGM Studios.
Priyanka confirmed her participation by sharing a screenshot of The Hollywood Reporter’s article in her Instagram story.
The cast also includes Regina Hall, Jimmy Tatro, and Billy Eichner. Stoller, who is both writing and directing the project, is collaborating again with the studio behind his recent movie You're Cordially Invited, which starred Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon.
Previously titled Judgment Day, the film centers around a young ex-convict (played by Efron) who takes over the set of an unscripted courtroom TV show, believing that a judge (portrayed by Ferrell) made a decision that ruined his life.
Further details about the storyline remain under wraps.
On the work front, Priyanka has several upcoming projects with Amazon MGM, including The Bluff, directed by Frank E. Flowers, and Heads of State, in which she stars alongside WWE star-turned-actor John Cena.
She was last seen in the action-packed series Citadel, alongside Richard Madden. However, Season 2 of the much-anticipated has reportedly been delayed until spring 2026. The Hollywood Reporter notes that Amazon MGM is dissatisfied with the current version of the new season, leading to a postponement and the halting of all related spinoffs.
No official release date has been announced yet for the show’s return.
Additionally, Priyanka is rumored to be in discussions for SS Rajamouli’s upcoming untitled project, which will feature Mahesh Babu in the lead role.
