President sends letter to Japan’s PM delivered by UAE Special Envoy

emirates7 - President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a written message to Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, emphasizing the strong bilateral ties between the UAE and Japan and exploring ways to further enhance their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The letter was personally delivered by Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and the UAE’s Special Envoy to Japan, during a meeting held on Monday at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tokyo. Also present at the meeting were Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State, and Shihab Al Faheem, UAE Ambassador to Japan.

During the meeting, Dr. Al Jaber conveyed warm greetings from President Sheikh Mohamed and extended the UAE’s best wishes for Japan’s continued advancement, as well as for the success of Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai.

In response, Prime Minister Ishiba sent his regards to President Sheikh Mohamed and expressed his aspirations for the UAE’s ongoing prosperity and growth.

The discussions centered on boosting bilateral cooperation within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established in 2022.

Dr. Al Jaber reaffirmed the UAE’s leadership’s dedication to enhancing strategic cooperation and elevating ties between the two nations. He highlighted opportunities to expand joint efforts in key sectors such as the economy, trade, energy, industry, advanced technology, and space—all areas that align with both countries’ sustainable development ambitions.

He also pointed to the longstanding and historic relationship between the UAE and Japan, recalling Abu Dhabi’s participation in Expo 1970 in Osaka, which predates the founding of the UAE.
