emirates7 - Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the UAE Parliamentary Division of the Federal National Council (FNC) to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), held separate talks in Tashkent with senior parliamentary leaders from Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Sweden, Brazil, and Iran.
These discussions were held on the sidelines of the 150th IPU Assembly in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and involved meetings with key figures such as Nuriddinjon Ismailov, Speaker of Uzbekistan's Legislative Chamber; Oleksandr Korniyenko, Head of the Ukrainian Delegation to the IPU; Julia Kronlid, Head of Sweden’s Riksdag delegation; Claudio Cajado Sampaio, Head of Brazil’s National Congress delegation; and Hamidreza Haji Babaei, Iran’s Deputy Parliament Speaker.
The talks centered on strengthening inter-parliamentary relations, enhancing dialogue on mutual interests, and aligning parliamentary collaboration with the broader strategic ties between the UAE and these countries.
The discussions also explored the role of parliamentary diplomacy in advancing government agendas and promoting regional and global stability.
