emirates7 - Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin provided a health on Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman after he was hospitalized in Chennai due to dehydration and neck pain.
Stalin took to Twitter to share that Rahman is doing fine and will be discharged soon. He wrote, “Upon hearing the news of AR Rahman being hospitalized, I contacted the doctors and was told that he is fine and will be back home shortly.”
According to Rahman’s team, the musician has since been discharged from the hospital after experiencing dehydration and neck pain, which were likely caused by recent travel. The 58-year-old composer sought medical attention after feeling unwell and went for a check-up. His team confirmed that all tests came back normal, and he was expected to be discharged the same day.
The team also denied circulating rumors claiming Rahman had been hospitalized due to chest pain, labeling the reports as "fake news." They clarified that his condition was related to dehydration and neck discomfort from traveling.
Rahman, who is currently engaged in various music projects and performances, had recently joined Ed Sheeran for a performance during the latter's Mathematics Tour in Chennai. He is also set to compose music for the upcoming film *Tere Ishk Mein*, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, which is directed by Anand L. Rai.
