emirates7 - As of the end of January 2025, total bank credit extended to both the public and private sectors in Saudi Arabia reached a record high of SAR 3,005,946 million, according to the Saudi Central Bank's (SAMA) monthly statistical bulletin.
This represents a 15 percent annual increase, reflecting a rise of over SAR 348,219 million compared to January 2024, when the total credit was SAR 2,621,726 million.
On a monthly basis, the total bank credit saw a 2 percent growth by the end of January 2025, increasing by about SAR 50,395 million from SAR 2,955,550 million in December 2024.
This represents a 15 percent annual increase, reflecting a rise of over SAR 348,219 million compared to January 2024, when the total credit was SAR 2,621,726 million.
