Hasher bin Maktoum crowns winners of 33rd Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships

emirates7 - H.H. Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Tennis Federation, presented the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships trophy to winner Stefanos Tsitsipas. The award ceremony took place in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, following an exhilarating conclusion to the 33rd edition of the prestigious men’s tournament.

A key event on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) 500 circuit, the tournament was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.

The awards ceremony took place on the iconic Centre Court of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, marking the culmination of an action-packed week of top-tier men’s tennis. The competition featured eight of the world’s top 20 players, delivering high-intensity matches to an enthusiastic audience.

Tsitsipas secured the men’s singles title with an impressive display of skill, composure, and determination, defeating Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime (6-3, 6-3) in front of a packed crowd.

The event was attended by prominent figures, including Ramesh Cidambi, Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free and Chairman of the Tournament Organising Committee; Nasser Youssef Al Marzouqi, General Secretary of the UAE Tennis Federation; Salah Tahlak, Deputy Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free and Tournament Director; and Sinead El Sibai, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Dubai Duty Free.

The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships continues to strengthen its reputation as a premier international sporting event, attracting elite male and female tennis players. Over the past two weeks, competitors vied for prestigious WTA and ATP singles and doubles titles, delivering thrilling performances in front of passionate spectators.

In the doubles final, India’s Yuki Bhambri and Alexei Popyrin triumphed over Croatia’s Harri Heliovaara and Great Britain’s Henry Patten in a nail-biting three-set encounter (3-6, 7-6, 10-8).
