emirates7 - Emirati racer Rashid Al Dhaheri attributed his success in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship to his focus, skills, and experience.
Reflecting on his recent podium finish, Al Dhaheri remarked, “Securing second place at my home track was incredibly rewarding. For the second-round races, we competed on the Yas Marina ‘corkscrew’ circuit, a variation of the standard GP track layout. My local knowledge and racecraft were key in achieving this podium finish. The competition is extremely tight, with minimal margins between drivers and cars, making the podium spots highly contested among the top competitors.”
He continued, "I will keep pushing as hard as possible to secure more strong finishes and podium results, aiming to improve my overall championship standing. With a great car and team supporting me, we are excited for the next round.”
In the first race of the second round, Al Dhaheri claimed second place and was also the highest-ranked rookie, earning the top position on the rookie podium. This performance matched his second-place finish in the first race of the opening round, followed by points finishes in the subsequent races.
After two rounds and six races in this highly competitive series, Al Dhaheri ranks within the top five on the championship table, well-positioned at the halfway mark of the competition.
The championship continues with round three at the Dubai Autodrome in two weeks. The penultimate round returns to Abu Dhabi on February 14, while the final round is set to take place at the Lusail International Circuit in Qatar from February 26 to 28.
