CBUAE issues silver commemorative coins marking Golden Jubilee

emirates7 - The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE) has unveiled a special edition silver coin to celebrate its Golden Jubilee. This commemorative coin marks the bank's 50th anniversary and highlights its significant contributions to the development of the banking and financial sectors over the years. It reflects the CBUAE's essential role in driving economic growth and aligns with the vision of the UAE's leadership to position the bank among the top central banks globally.

The CBUAE has issued 3,000 silver coins, each weighing 60 grams. The obverse side of the coin features an image of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with his name in Arabic and the title "President of the United Arab Emirates." The reverse showcases the CBUAE building, with the inscription "50 Years of the Central Bank of the UAE" in both Arabic and English, along with the years 1973-2023 and the coin's nominal value of AED50.

In addition, the CBUAE has launched an online service to sell the commemorative coins via a dedicated page on its website. This digital service is designed to be user-friendly, offering secure and instant login through the UAE Pass system. The Golden Jubilee coin can be purchased for AED650, which includes delivery fees.

This initiative highlights the CBUAE's commitment to adopting international best practices to improve financial services, enhance operational efficiency, and provide a seamless experience for customers. The online service also allows people to purchase previous commemorative coins issued by the CBUAE, starting from January 22, 2025.
