Global Council for Tolerance and Peace condemns Israel's burning of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza

emirates7 - The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, under the leadership of President Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, has strongly condemned the reprehensible crime committed by Israeli occupation forces in burning Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza.

The Council stressed that this brutal act, which violates the core principles of international humanitarian law, is a flagrant violation of human rights and an unjustified attack on medical institutions that are crucial for providing humanitarian services to civilians.

In a statement released today, the Council pointed out that targeting hospitals and other protected sites under international humanitarian law constitutes a war crime according to the Geneva Conventions.

The Council also called for the international community to take immediate action to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities in stopping the ongoing violations that threaten innocent lives and devastate infrastructure in Palestinian territories. It highlighted that nearly 90% of schools and educational institutions in Gaza are now out of service.
