Sharjah Police unveils traffic security plan for 2025

emirates7 - The Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC), through its General Department of Operations and Security Support, has announced its full preparedness for the New Year 2025. A comprehensive traffic and security plan has been developed to enhance the quality of life and ensure the highest levels of safety and security across the emirate.

Brigadier General Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Naour, Director-General of Operations and Security Support, outlined that the plan involves deploying intensified security and traffic patrols throughout Sharjah. Special attention will be given to key locations hosting major events, celebrations, and fireworks displays, including Al Heera Corniche, Al Buhaira Corniche, and Khorfakkan Corniche. The plan also includes monitoring public spaces and overseeing vehicle movement on external roads.

He emphasized that Sharjah Police will utilize all available resources and cutting-edge technologies to support traffic security operations. This includes advanced monitoring and communication systems designed to ensure swift emergency response capabilities around the clock. The initiative also involves close collaboration with strategic partners such as Sharjah Municipality, Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, and Rafid Vehicle Solutions Company.

Dr. Al Naour urged the public to cooperate with security personnel at celebration venues and adhere to their guidance and traffic regulations to ensure safety and prevent overcrowding.

Additionally, he highlighted that teams are ready to handle complaints and reports, with emergency assistance available through 999 and non-emergency queries through 901.
