World’s biggest stars get set for Dubai International Sports Conference

emirates7 - The 19th edition of the Dubai International Sports Conference, organized by the Dubai Sports Council, will take place alongside the annual Beyond Globe Soccer Dubai Awards at Atlantis, The Palm on Friday evening. The prestigious event is set to attract a host of current and former football stars.

With over 1,000 attendees expected, the 15th edition of the awards ceremony will feature global football icon Cristiano Ronaldo among the notable guests. Representatives from Ronaldo’s former club, Real Madrid—the reigning European champions—will also be in attendance, including English midfielder Jude Bellingham and Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. Additionally, Barcelona and Spain winger Lamine Yamal and former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand are among the high-profile personalities set to grace the event, along with representatives from various clubs and organizations worldwide.

The Dubai International Sports Conference, part of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, serves as a platform to address pivotal issues in football. Running concurrently with the Globe Soccer Awards, the conference and ceremony have, since 2010, celebrated achievements across domestic, regional, and international football while fostering dialogue on the sport's evolution.

This year’s summit focuses on the theme "Talented Football," moderated by CNN’s Amanda Davis, who will co-host the main event alongside Tom Urquhart. Ronaldo, Bellingham, and Courtois are slated as guest speakers during the conference.

The awards night will feature 15 main honors, including accolades for Best Men’s Player, Best Women’s Player, Best Men’s Club, Best Women’s Club, the Maradona Award, and five Career Awards.
