emirates7 - Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) celebrated the remarkable achievements of three of its departments, which have been recognized for excellence and innovation on both regional and global stages.
One of the highlights was the Compass Coworking Centre, which won the Customer Success Award at the Customer Centricity World Series for the Middle East & Africa. The centre stood out for its exceptional approach in creating a supportive and dynamic business environment. More than just a traditional coworking space, Compass has evolved into a thriving ecosystem and networking hub, offering tailored programmes such as content-driven seminars, interactive workshops, and targeted networking events for both RAKEZ and non-RAKEZ clients. Its success is attributed to its client-centric approach, which actively incorporates client feedback into the design and delivery of its services, fostering a strong sense of community while enhancing satisfaction, retention, and loyalty.
RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad emphasized that customer focus is a core value driving the organization’s efforts to continually improve experiences. He noted that Compass is more than a coworking space—it's a nurturing hub for entrepreneurs, startups, and SMEs, offering the resources and support they need to succeed.
RAKEZ also won the Silver Award for ‘Best Waste Diversion/Reduction Initiative – Government Sector’ at the Middle East Waste & Recycling Awards 2024. This recognition highlights the zone’s significant progress in sustainability, having diverted 440,000 kg of paper, 600,000 kg of scrap metal, and 88,000 kg of glass bottles from landfills for recycling by October 2024.
Additionally, RAKEZ's legal department received the ‘Legal Department of the Year – Small Team’ award at the 5th LegalEra Awards Middle East 2024, acknowledging their excellence and commitment to providing outstanding legal support.
Jallad concluded that these awards reflect RAKEZ’s ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation, demonstrating the organization’s holistic approach to driving positive change within its community and beyond.
