The event was organized by the Dubai International Marine Club on the beaches of Jumeirah.

The Fujairah Racing Team strengthened its lead in the overall championship standings, earning 35 points to bring its total to 250 points.

This prestigious event marks the conclusion of the 2024 global powerboat racing season, held in Dubai from December 13 to 15. The competition featured 10 international powerboats vying for top honors across two main races and the Speed Race title. The initiative underscores Dubai's dedication to establishing itself as a global hub for marine sports.

The UIM XCAT World Championship returned to the Dubai calendar for the 2024-2025 season after a two-year break, reinforcing Dubai’s legacy in hosting world powerboat championships. Since becoming the first regional and Middle Eastern destination to host such events in 1992, Dubai has continued to be a pivotal location for the sport.

On Saturday, a qualifying race will take place to determine the starting positions for the second main race, set to be held on Sunday.
