Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Chairman of Liwa Sports Club, noted that the event is expected to draw over 3,000 athletes and competitors, cementing its reputation as a leading destination for sports enthusiasts across the UAE and the region. The festival’s 2025 edition will feature an extensive lineup of 16 sporting events, offering an exciting blend of challenge, endurance, and entertainment for desert sports lovers.
Among the highlights are the renowned Moreeb Hill Climb Championship, recognized as one of the world’s most demanding sand-climbing competitions, and exhilarating drag races. Traditional heritage events, such as horse and camel races, will combine cultural elements with competitive spirit.
Additionally, motor enthusiasts can look forward to freestyle drift and burnout championships, showcasing creativity and precision, and the Sand Drift Championship, which offers a distinctive driving experience on the dunes.
