emirates7 - Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) has announced the launch of the first phase of its new district cooling plant in Jumeirah Beach Hills (JBH).
The plant, which will have a total production capacity of 48,000 refrigeration tons (RT) upon completion, will serve the prestigious Jumeirah area, a renowned residential and tourist destination in Dubai.
Notable hospitality projects benefiting from the plant include the Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Marsa Al Arab, Madinat Jumeirah Living, and Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel. In the future, the plant will also provide cooling to projects like Souk Madinat Jumeirah, Jumeirah Al Qasr Hotel, and Jumeirah Mina A’Salam Hotel, among others.
Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, emphasized the company's dedication to its expansion strategy, providing district cooling services to major projects across Dubai. He highlighted the plant’s role in supporting the Jumeirah area’s growth, especially in catering to luxury hotels and resorts, and its contribution to maintaining Jumeirah’s status as a global hospitality hub.
