Eid Al Etihad embodies values of pride, belonging: Ruler of Sharjah

emirates7 - H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, highlighted that December 2nd marks *Eid Al Etihad*, a significant occasion symbolizing pride, unity, and a shared sense of belonging.

Reflecting on the vision realized by the Founding Fathers in 1971, His Highness noted that their "hearts united before their words," driven by a shared destiny and the ambition to establish a modern, advanced nation.

"This was built on the principles of unity, cooperation, solidarity, compassion, and pride in its identity and values. It is rooted in the commitment to securing a brighter future through the dedication and knowledge of its citizens," he stated.

In his remarks commemorating the 53rd *Eid Al Etihad*, His Highness expressed pride in remembering the determination of the Founding Fathers, who resolutely pursued the path of unity.

"They demonstrated unwavering resolve in overcoming challenges, from state-building and societal unification to ensuring a dignified life for all. Their steadfastness laid the groundwork for the nation’s development, societal advancement, and a forward-looking vision," he added.

He further emphasized the country's significant progress since its founding, attributing this advancement to science, knowledge, the determination of dedicated individuals, and societal cohesion. "This civilizational renaissance has transformed every aspect of life, including education, healthcare, family welfare, and the economy," His Highness said.

As a result, citizens enjoy a dignified life, which serves as the cornerstone of the UAE's growth and development. "This prosperity reflects the fruits of unity and visionary leadership that have elevated our nation to remarkable heights," he concluded.
