emirates7 - Building on his success in the Hatta stage of the Dubai International Baja (DIB), Brazil’s Lucas Moraes secured another win on day two for Toyota Gazoo Racing. Driving a Toyota Hilux alongside co-driver Armand Monleon, the pair now holds a 6-minute, 5-second lead heading into the final stage.
The competition shifted to the familiar yet demanding dunes of the Al Qudra Desert for the Al-Futtaim Toyota Stage Two. Participants tackled a challenging route comprising 195 kilometers of timed stages and 164 kilometers of road sections, totaling 359 kilometers of driving and riding. The intense desert heat, with temperatures exceeding 30°C, added to the difficulty.
In the Quads category, UAE’s Abdulaziz Ahli led the field on a Yamaha Raptor, maintaining a strong margin over Saudi Arabia’s Abdulaziz Al Atawi.
The crews now prepare for the final test in Zayed and Rashid Stage 3.
