emirates7 - The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, has released the book “Sheikh Rashid: Milestones and Images in the Arab Press” to commemorate the anniversary of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum's passing.
To mark the launch, the ALC hosted a panel discussion featuring notable figures, including Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation; Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of the ALC; Saeed Hamdan Al Tunaiji, Executive Director of the ALC; Ali Obaid Alhameli; and Mohammed Abdulla Almansoori. The session was moderated by Shaikha Abdulla Almteiri.
Mohammed Ahmad Al Murr stated, “The release of the book today is a significant stride in documenting the UAE's history and emphasizing the contributions of the founding fathers to our nation’s establishment and success. The late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum played a crucial role, whose vision and wisdom laid the foundation for the development and stability of both Dubai and the UAE.
"This book serves as an invitation for younger generations to delve into the legacies of these leaders, drawing lessons and insights that have contributed to today’s achievements. We hope this book will become a key reference for youth, enhancing their understanding of the founding fathers' role in building the UAE into a country deeply rooted in science and knowledge. With each publication and event, the Mohammed bin Rashid Library reaffirms its commitment to instilling these values in our youth, preparing them to fulfill their national duties and continue the vision set forth by our founding fathers.”
