emirates7 - Abu Dhabi's Qasr Al Watan library is now offering free membership to all UAE residents and citizens, granting access to a wide range of books and educational resources. This initiative, led by the library in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, aims to make knowledge more accessible and encourage reading.

To become a member, individuals can sign up through the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism's website.

Jumaa Al Dhaheri, Director of Specialized Libraries at the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, stated that the initiative is designed to foster lifelong learning and cultivate a culture of reading, which in turn promotes cultural awareness and supports the Arabic language.

The library is a significant historical resource, highlighting Abu Dhabi's key cultural achievements. It contains rare manuscripts and historical books and regularly hosts cultural and educational events to encourage reading.

In the first half of the year, the library received approximately 270,000 visitors, marking a 46% increase from the previous year, indicating a growing public interest in learning and culture.

The library operates from Sunday to Thursday, with hours from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm.
