This initiative is part of TRENDS' strategy to expand its global influence and leverage Japan's strategic significance in global affairs.

The TRENDS Tokyo office is led by Satoshi Ikeuchi, a professor at the University of Tokyo.

As part of its focus on advanced technology and artificial intelligence (AI), TRENDS has introduced its new book, *Global Trends in AI*, in Japan. The book underscores the significance of advanced technology and AI as key drivers of the global future. It aims to foster productive scientific discussions with Japan’s scientific community, explore the varied approaches to AI adoption and development in both developed and emerging economies, and highlight the importance of a collective global effort to ensure AI benefits humanity.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, emphasized that these initiatives reflect the center's ongoing efforts to establish strategic partnerships with prominent academic and research institutions worldwide. He highlighted TRENDS' commitment to advancing scientific research and innovation for a better future.

Al-Ali also noted that by the end of 2024, TRENDS will have 15 global offices aimed at enhancing its research efforts, broadening its role, and creating a global knowledge network focused on current issues.
