Union Association for Human Rights participates in 57th regular session of Human Rights Council

emirates7 - The Union Association for Human Rights (UAHR) is showcasing the UAE's pioneering human rights efforts during its participation in the 57th regular session of the Human Rights Council, held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. The UAE is being highlighted as a key international partner in promoting global human rights.

The session, which started on 9th September and continues until 9th October, features UAHR organizing three cultural exhibitions and international events focused on human rights. The association will also present 20 oral and written statements in Arabic, English, and French.

Led by Dr. Fatima Khalifa Al Kaabi, President of UAHR, the delegation includes a team of international experts. Emirati volunteers are assisting in organizing the exhibitions, held in collaboration with NGOs holding consultative status. These exhibitions, set at the United Nations Plaza, emphasize the UAE's achievements in supporting human rights, particularly in climate protection, environmental safety, peace promotion, tolerance, coexistence, and digital justice.

UAHR is also hosting international seminars during the session, which are attended by UN experts and leaders of global organizations, discussing issues of mutual global concern.

The association will contribute 15 oral statements and five written submissions, addressing key human rights topics while emphasizing the UAE's ongoing role in supporting and enhancing human rights globally. The UAE’s commitment to humanitarian efforts and its cooperation with various UN human rights bodies and mechanisms are also being highlighted.
