emirates7 - The Arabic Language Academy (ALA) in Sharjah participated in the session organised by the Arabic Language Academy in Khartoum at Al Neelain University, under the title "The Arabic Language: Reality and Ambition".
The event was attended by Dr. Mohammed Safi Mustghanmi, Secretary-General of the ALA in Sharjah; Dr. Al Hadi Adam Mohammed Ibrahim, Vice-Chancellor of Al Neelain University; Dr. Bakri Mohammad Al Haj, Head of the ALA in Khartoum; and moderated by Dr. Salwa Othman Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Al Neelain University.
During the event, held via video conferencing, Dr. Mustghanmi highlighted the great interest and care of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to promote the Arabic language and its future, especially in the African continent. He also praised the efforts being made to empower the Arabic language, especially with the state of synergy and cooperation witnessed between Arabic language academies.
The Sharjah ALA Secretary-General suggested that the bodies, agencies, and institutions based on the Arabic language coordinate their efforts with academies and centres of the Arabic language, in addition to the necessity of implementing the decisions made by the academies in order to activate practical mechanisms to serve the Arabic language.
For their part, Dr. Al Haj and Dr. Ibrahim expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Sharjah Ruler for his generous support and initiatives that contribute to supporting the Arabic language and enabling its presence among the languages of the world.
