emirates7 - Nvidia is preparing to raise prices for its artificial intelligence servers by more than 15 percent for systems scheduled to begin shipping early next year, following a sharp rise in memory chip costs.
Bloomberg reported, citing informed sources, that the increases will cover systems equipped with Nvidia's flagship Vera Rubin and Grace Blackwell chips, with the new prices to be determined according to the chip generation and memory configuration.
Server manufacturers have begun notifying major data centre operators, including Microsoft, Google and Oracle, of the expected increases.
Markets are awaiting Nvidia's second-quarter financial results, due to be announced on 26th August. The company is widely regarded as a key indicator of the performance of the global artificial intelligence sector.
