Dubai’s public parking will be free of charge on January 1, 2026, except for multi-storey parking facilities and Al Khail Gate (N-365). Parking fees will be reinstated on Friday, January 2, the Roads and Transport Authority announced as it revealed its 2026 New Year holiday service timings.

Intercity bus updates

Route E100 will stop operating from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station starting the afternoon of December 31.

Last trip: 12 noon from Abu Dhabi and 2pm from Al Ghubaiba

Services will remain suspended until January 4, 2026

Passengers travelling to Abu Dhabi during this period are advised to use Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station.

Route E102 will operate from Ibn Battuta Bus Station on December 31 from 2pm onwards until the end of the day.

Dubai Metro

Dubai Metro services on both the Red and Green Lines will run continuously for nearly 43 hours to accommodate New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day travel.

Trains will operate from 5am on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, through to 11.59pm on Thursday, January 1, 2026, without interruption.

Dubai Tram

Dubai Tram services will run from 6am on Wednesday, December 31, through to 1am on Thursday, January 1.

Vehicle testing centres

All service provider vehicle testing centres will be closed on January 1, 2026, for the New Year holiday. Official working hours will resume on Friday, January 2, 2026.

Customer Happiness Centres

All RTA Customer Happiness Centres will be closed on January 1, 2026.

However, Smart Customer Happiness Areas at Al Barsha, Al Twar, Al Kifaf, and the RTA headquarters will continue to operate 24 hours a day as usual.
