MAJRA: 300 companies complete Impact Declaration through Sustainable Impact Digital Portal

emirates7 - MAJRA – National CSR Fund has announced that close to 300 companies have successfully submitted their mandatory Impact Declaration via the Sustainable Impact Digital Portal.

This achievement represents a major milestone in integrating sustainability and governance principles within the UAE’s private sector. It also signifies the completion of the first step in applying for the Impact Seal—a federal recognition awarded to companies that demonstrate measurable contributions to the country’s sustainable development goals.

The Impact Declaration is a standardized federal framework designed to evaluate a company’s transparency in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosures, its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices, and its tangible contributions to UAE society—whether financial, in-kind, or volunteer-based.

MAJRA CEO Sarah Shaw emphasized that the increasing number of declarations and applications for the Impact Seal reflects a stronger institutional commitment across the private sector to transparency and measurable sustainability.
She remarked, “At MAJRA, we are fostering a national ecosystem built on documentation, performance measurement, and outcome-oriented partnerships. Through the Sustainable Impact Digital Portal, we enable businesses to turn their pledges into tangible, measurable results that contribute to society and support the UAE’s vision for sustainable corporate responsibility.”

Alongside the surge in declarations, MAJRA received around 160 applications for the second cycle of the Impact Seal—approximately 100 from SMEs and 60 from large enterprises. This highlights a growing interest from companies of all sizes in formalising their sustainability efforts and enhancing their competitive edge.

The Impact Seal is awarded in two categories—one for large corporations and a recently introduced category for SMEs, in line with the UAE’s National SME Agenda. Companies are recognized at one of three levels—Platinum, Gold, or Silver—based on the scale and impact of their sustainability initiatives.

Launched in late 2024, the Sustainable Impact Digital Portal offers a comprehensive national platform that simplifies the submission process for both declarations and applications. The portal also gives companies access to a range of services provided by MAJRA, including CSR and sustainability project documentation, official certifications, expert studies, and tailored capacity-building programs. The platform ensures alignment with both national priorities and international sustainability standards.
