The summit will be held in Abu Dhabi from December 8 to 10, 2025, with the goal of reshaping global communication through innovation.

He was accompanied by Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi, Director-General of the UAE National Media Office, underscoring the UAE’s commitment to exploring future-focused media opportunities by blending cutting-edge technology with a people-centric approach.

The delegation was welcomed by top Huawei executives, including Lv Yang Ming, President of Huawei Cloud Media Service Product Department; Lu Zhen Yu, Media Service Product Expert; Wharton Huang, Vice President of Government & Enterprise for Huawei Cloud UAE; and Lewis Tan, Head of Strategy and Marketing for Huawei Cloud UAE.

During their visit, UAE officials engaged in a series of discussions with Huawei’s leadership, focusing on potential collaborations in media, artificial intelligence, digital broadcasting, big data, and 5G technologies. Abdulla Al Hamed emphasized the importance of fostering global partnerships that advance intelligent media solutions—particularly those that support the Arabic language, facilitate knowledge exchange, and drive innovation in areas such as digital broadcasting, smart education, and interactive platforms.

The itinerary also included a tour of Huawei’s Lianqiu Lake R&D Centre, where the delegation viewed the company’s latest breakthroughs in media technology and smart learning.

Al Hamed described the upcoming BRIDGE Summit as a catalyst for responsible global cooperation and a dynamic platform for forging new investment models and partnerships. He noted that the event will position media not only as a profession but also as a vital engine for innovation and sustainable development.

This visit to Shanghai marks one of several preparatory steps ahead of the BRIDGE 2025 Summit, which is expected to gather global media decision-makers, technology pioneers, and cultural influencers in a collaborative environment aimed at shaping a more inclusive, forward-thinking, and human-centred media landscape.
