emirates7 - The UAE Wrestling National Team is set to compete in the Egyptian National Wrestling Championship from July 17th to 23rd as part of a comprehensive preparation plan for the upcoming Asian Youth Games scheduled in Bahrain this October.
Currently, the team is training at the Olympic Centre for National Teams in Maadi, Cairo, before relocating to Alexandria to take part in the championship.
The UAE delegation includes four athletes: Hamad Yasser, Munther Al Baloushi, Abdullah Al Kendi, and Ibrahim Al Suwaidi, led by head coach Ahmed Amrov and supervised and managed by Shaaban El Sayed.
This training camp aligns with the UAE Wrestling Federation’s strategic goal to boost the physical and technical capabilities of its athletes through advanced international programs. It demonstrates a strong dedication to enhancing their skills, improving tactical performance, and increasing their prospects of winning medals at both continental and global competitions.
