Korea's ICT exports rise 5.8% in H1

emirates7 - South Korea's exports of information and communication technology (ICT) products increased by 5.8% in the first half of the year compared to the same period last year, driven largely by strong semiconductor sales amid rising demand from data centers, according to government data released Monday.

The Ministry of Science and ICT reported that outbound ICT shipments totaled US$115.16 billion between January and June, up from $108.83 billion during the same period in the previous year.

As reported by Yonhap News Agency, ICT imports during the same timeframe rose 5% year-on-year to $70.92 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of $44.24 billion in the sector.
