emirates7 - Autoworld International FZCO, the regional distributor for India’s Bajaj Auto Ltd, has announced a AED45 million investment to establish a new logistics and distribution center in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza).
This new facility will boost Autoworld’s capacity to serve rapidly expanding markets across Africa and the Middle East.
The agreement was signed in the presence of key figures including Abdullah Bin Damithan, CEO and Managing Director of DP World GCC; Abdulla Al Hashmi, COO of Parks & Zones at DP World GCC; and Autoworld’s leadership—Chairman Kumar Motiram Lakhani, Managing Director Monish Lakhani, and Director Vishal Lakhani.
Covering more than 162,000 square feet, the hub will house an assembly plant for Bajaj motorcycles and three-wheelers, along with storage and distribution areas for spare parts, tires, and lubricants.
Set to be completed by 2026, the center will also facilitate the launch of new product lines through collaborations with international manufacturers, further strengthening Autoworld’s market presence.
Abdulla Al Hashmi, COO of Parks and Zones at DP World GCC, commented that Autoworld’s expansion highlights the robustness of Jafza’s integrated trade and logistics network, which currently connects 940 automotive companies from 88 countries. He added that last year Jafza supported automotive trade worth nearly AED102 billion.
The project is expected to generate over 100 direct and indirect jobs, contributing to the growth of Dubai’s mobility and logistics sectors.
