Korea's exports up 4.3% on-year to $59.8 billion in June

emirates7 - South Korea's exports increased by 4.3% in June compared to the same month last year, driven by strong global demand for semiconductors. This growth marks a rebound from the year-on-year decline recorded in the previous month, according to government data released on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy reported that outbound shipments totaled $59.8 billion for the month.

Imports also rose by 3.3% year-on-year, reaching $50.72 billion, leading to a trade surplus of $9.08 billion, as reported by Yonhap News Agency.

Semiconductor exports surged by 11.6% year-on-year, hitting a record high of $14.97 billion in June.
