Ammar bin Humaid chairs Ajman Executive Council meeting; approves 'Balanced Summer' initiative

emirates7 - H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, chaired the Council’s meeting today at the Emiri Court, where the “Balanced Summer” initiative for Ajman Government employees was officially approved.

The initiative is designed to foster work-life balance and enhance employee well-being throughout the summer months, while also promoting stronger family bonds, in line with the broader "Year of Community" efforts.

Under the plan, all Ajman Government employees will work remotely every Friday between July 1 and August 22, 2025. Additionally, the workday from Monday to Thursday will be shortened to seven hours, running from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. These changes will be implemented with internal flexibility to ensure that essential government services remain uninterrupted.

H.H. Sheikh Ammar emphasized that the Ajman Government, guided by the leadership of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, is dedicated to cultivating a supportive and adaptable work environment that meets both professional and social needs of its employees.

He stressed that employee well-being and family stability are key foundations in Ajman’s development strategy, noting that the health and happiness of the workforce are central to enhancing institutional performance and service quality.

He also pointed out that the “Balanced Summer” initiative contributes to environmental sustainability by lowering daily commuting emissions—an effort aligned with the goals of Ajman Vision 2030 to foster a more sustainable and balanced society.

The Ajman Human Resources Department, in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Executive Council, will be responsible for implementing the initiative, creating flexible work models, and submitting an impact report by the end of September 2025 evaluating outcomes in terms of performance, employee satisfaction, and community impact.

This initiative underscores Ajman Government’s ongoing commitment to employee welfare by promoting a flexible work structure that supports both personal and professional well-being, ultimately leading to higher productivity and employee morale.

The Council also reviewed and discussed other matters on its agenda during the meeting.
