emirates7 - Investopia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade to host the first-ever Investopia Global Talks in Tashkent in 2026.
This event will be organized alongside the Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF) 2026. The MoU was signed by Dr. Jean Fares, CEO of Investopia, and Shokhrukh Gulamov, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan.
The partnership creates an important platform to enhance connections and encourage collaboration between business communities in the UAE, Uzbekistan, and Central Asia. Investopia – Tashkent will provide an engaging space to explore promising economic and investment prospects in emerging sectors across the UAE, Uzbekistan, and wider Asian markets.
The initiative also aims to promote impactful public-private partnerships and direct investments toward key industries in both countries, while influencing emerging trends in investment and finance across the region.
TIIF, held under the patronage of Uzbekistan’s President, is one of Central Asia’s leading investment forums, making it an ideal partner for Investopia Global Talks.
Laziz Kudratov, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, stated, “In 2026, Tashkent will host the inaugural Investopia Global Talks in Central Asia in collaboration with TIIF. Originating from the UAE, Investopia is a global investment platform connecting investors, governments, and businesses to new economic opportunities. Past editions have been held in Tokyo and Milan. The Tashkent event will bring together investors, policymakers, and business leaders to explore sectors vital to Uzbekistan’s growth, including renewable energy, digital technologies, infrastructure, and agriculture. This partnership is a major step toward establishing Uzbekistan as a regional investment hub and fostering long-term market relations.”
Mohammed Alhawi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Investment, highlighted the strong strategic and economic ties between the UAE and Uzbekistan. “By hosting Investopia Global Talks in Tashkent, we seek to deepen economic and investment collaboration, open new development opportunities for UAE and Central Asian businesses, and promote sustainable growth aligned with the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision.”
Dr. Jean Fares, CEO of Investopia, added, “The UAE and Central Asia offer significant economic and investment potential, especially in emerging sectors. We believe Investopia – Tashkent will be instrumental in connecting Asian business communities with these opportunities by fostering meaningful dialogue among leaders, investors, and decision-makers. It will also explore ways to boost mutual investments and trade, while sharing insights on global finance and investment trends.”
The fourth edition of TIIF highlighted Uzbekistan’s investment prospects in sectors such as energy, agriculture, industry, tourism, and infrastructure. The forum attracted over 7,500 participants from more than 100 countries, including nearly 3,000 honored guests.
