emirates7 - UAE Team Emirates – XRG, led by Slovenian world champion Tadej Pogačar, took back the lead at the Critérium du Dauphiné with an impressive win in Stage Six yesterday.
Pogačar completed the challenging mountain stage more than a minute ahead of his closest competitors.
The Emirati team put on a remarkable display, with Tim Wellens and Jhonatan Narváez delivering a perfect uphill lead-out, reminiscent of their efforts on the slopes of Milano-San Remo earlier in the year.
Earlier in the day, Domen Novak and the UAE Team Emirates-XRG squad worked seamlessly to prevent the breakaway from gaining any significant advantage. With their efforts neutralizing the lead of the breakaway rider, Florian Lipowitz (Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe), Wellens and Narváez were then able to set up Pogačar’s decisive attack.

“One minute is great, and I’m really happy.”
