emirates7 - His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), presided over the council’s meeting on Tuesday.
The session took place at the Sharjah Ruler’s Office, with the presence of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council.
During the meeting, the council addressed various topics related to overseeing the performance of government departments and the implementation of Sharjah’s plans and public policies, all aimed at delivering the highest quality services to communities across multiple sectors.
The Council reviewed a report on the services provided by Sharjah museums to visitors throughout the emirate’s cities and regions. The report highlighted how the museums function to preserve and present historical, cultural, heritage, artistic, and Islamic knowledge, while also providing an educational and engaging experience suitable for all age groups, from children to adults.
Additionally, the council examined the 2024 annual report for the Endowment Trusts Account, which showcased key achievements and initiatives. The report indicated growth in assets, revenues, and donations supporting various endowment projects, alongside the completion of several projects that strengthened the role of endowments as a sustainable development tool.
The council was presented with important figures and statistics from the report, including the income statements for the endowment trust account and for wills and endowment deeds, details of endowment projects implemented during 2024, the value of endowment assets, the beneficiaries of endowment projects both locally and internationally, as well as information on endowment investments.
