'Sharjah Charity' launches water network in Tajikistan

emirates7 - Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has launched a new initiative to provide a sustainable water supply in Tajikistan, coinciding with the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah as part of its ongoing charitable efforts.

The project is set to benefit 1,000 families living in remote and mountainous regions who currently face severe challenges in accessing clean drinking water.

Khaled Hassan Al Ali, Head of Projects and External Aid at SCI, emphasized the organisation’s focus on long-term solutions for underserved communities.

He noted, “We aim to carry out initiatives that leave a lasting positive effect. The water network being developed in Tajikistan will offer crucial support and stability to the families it serves. This reflects the UAE’s broader commitment to humanitarian aid and global development, and it underscores our mission to improve access to safe water in drought-stricken areas.”
