ADU hosts International Conference on Global Sustainable Development

emirates7 - Abu Dhabi University (ADU) recently held the second edition of the International Conference on Global Sustainable Development (ICGSD 2025) at its Dubai campus.

The event brought together prominent academic scholars, researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals from 10 countries to share insights and explore innovative strategies for addressing today’s most urgent sustainability issues.

Organized in partnership with Digambarrao Bindu College and Acadivate, the interdisciplinary conference welcomed over 130 international experts for impactful discussions and cross-sector collaboration across fields such as health, business, environment, technology, and social sciences.

With a robust program featuring plenary talks, panel discussions, and more than 100 research presentations, ICGSD 2025 tackled key topics including climate change, renewable energy, social equity, artificial intelligence in education, and sustainable development.

Spanning two days, the event highlighted the vital role of global cooperation and practical solutions aligned with both the UAE’s national agenda and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

ADU Chancellor Professor Ghassan Aouad emphasized, “Real progress in sustainability stems from interdisciplinary, cross-sector, and international collaboration. At ADU, we are dedicated to promoting such innovation-driven dialogue through platforms like ICGSD 2025.
