DAE signs definitive agreements to sell approximately 75 aircraft

emirates7 - Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has revealed that it recently entered into agreements with two parties to sell roughly 75 aircraft, though specific deal terms remain undisclosed.

The transactions involve selling a group of around 50 Embraer E-JETS to a specialized leasing company, while another portfolio of approximately 25 older, out-of-production aircraft will be sold to a financial investor. DAE will continue to provide lease, asset, and technical management services for the latter group.

Once finalized, these transactions are expected to lower the average age and extend the average remaining lease duration of DAE’s passenger aircraft fleet.

Some parts of the deals are still pending regulatory approvals and standard closing requirements.

Firoz Tarapore, CEO of DAE, stated, “These transactions support our long-term commitments to stakeholders by helping us better align our fleet with our target aircraft types, while also improving the fuel efficiency, age, and lease profile of our overall portfolio.”
