Faraday Future to establish 1st regional facility in RAK with AED30 million investment

emirates7 - Faraday Future (FF), a global AI electric vehicle manufacturer headquartered in California, is establishing its first operational hub in the Middle East, located in Ras Al Khaimah.

The new facility, situated in Al Hamra within the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), will cover around 108,000 square feet and include office space, an engineering workshop, and an operational center. Supported by an initial investment of AED30 million, the project is set to 200 direct jobs in fields such as engineering, logistics, operations, and customer service.

This development is part of Faraday Future’s strategic global growth plan, marking a significant milestone in the region’s electric vehicle transition while strengthening Ras Al Khaimah’s status as a hub for cutting-edge, sustainable mobility solutions.

The expansion will be led by Faraday X (FX), FF’s mass-market brand focused on delivering AI-powered electric vehicles featuring advanced luxury technology, designed to make smart electric mobility accessible to all. The new facility will act as a key operational base supporting activities across the GCC, with future plans to extend into Europe and North Africa.

“This facility represents a concrete beginning for both FF and FX in this region,” said Matthias Aydt, Global Co-CEO of Faraday Future. “Ras Al Khaimah provides the ideal infrastructure, visionary leadership, and connectivity to help us build an intelligent and sustainable mobility ecosystem. We’re proud to a facility that not only serves as a regional gateway but also has the potential to generate up to 200 skilled jobs.”

RAKEZ played an essential role in facilitating Faraday Future’s smooth entry into the Middle East, offering comprehensive support in setting up infrastructure, navigating regulatory requirements, and easing policy implementation.

Ramy Jallad, CEO of RAKEZ Group, commented, “Faraday Future’s arrival is more than just a facility launch — it marks the start of a transformative new chapter in the region’s mobility sector. The company brings a bold vision that will redefine the future of intelligent transportation.

With the UAE targeting 50% of all new vehicle sales to be electric or hybrid by 2050, backed by incentives like free charging stations, lowered registration fees, and green mobility policies, the timing couldn’t be better. At RAKEZ, we are proud to support their Middle East debut and help innovators who are driving industry transformation through sustainability and innovation.”

The facility is currently under construction, with operations expected to begin in the second half of 2025. Looking ahead, Faraday Future plans to grow its regional research and development capabilities and establish a localized supply chain ecosystem centered in Ras Al Khaimah.
